Nicholas Fichter

Tenor Nicholas Fichter recently returned Home to the Tri-Cities after a decade in the mid-Atlantic region. He has performed with the Washington Bach Consort, the Folger Consort, Cathedra, the Washington Chorus, and the Cathedral Choral Society in Washington, DC. From 2010-2016 Mr. Fichter was a full-time professional Gentleman of the Choir (Lay Clerk) at Washington National Cathedral . He has appeared on recordings with Cathedra and the Folger Consort and has appeared on live Evensong broadcasts on BBC radio with the Washington National Cathedral Choir. An avid recitalist, his recital credits include Schubert's 'Winterreise,' Finzi's 'A Young Man's Exhortation,' and Tippett's 'Heart's Assurance.' Mr. Fichter attended the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, studying under the world-renowned Baritone John Shirley-Quirk. He resides in Benton City, WA with his 10-year-old Olde English Bulldogge, Titan.
