Lane King (guitarist, composer) is a graduate of music from Whitworth University specializing in jazz, classical, contemporary, and fingerstyle (acoustic) guitar. As someone with experience in listening, composing, transcribing, and performing music in a wide variety of settings, Lane will meet students where they are to help realize their goals and aspirations to music.

Beginning/Intermediate Guitar class (all ages) Thursdays 3:30-4:30pm Sept 12-Dec 5 (No class Thanksgiving) $250 includes $10 materials fee

This small group guitar class (limited to 10) perfect for those with a budding passion for guitar looking to deepen their understanding of harmony, guitar vocabulary and chords, and applying these lasting skills and knowledge to music they have a personal connection to, culminating in an (optional) performance open to friends, family, and others who love music. Intro to Jazz Guitar class (all ages) Thursdays 5:30-6:30pm Sept 12-Dec 5 (No class Thanksgiving) $250 includes $10 materials fee

This small group class is the ideal way to transition from basic guitar knowledge into an American musical art form spanning the past ~100 years. Students of this course will have an introduction to jazz theory and harmony that will be applicable to tunes and pieces they know and love. Students will learn the art of improvisation, allowing them to play over their own chord set, accompany other instruments, and more. Register
